The day started out as any other day. We got up after a long night of NOT SLEEPING. Hailey and I did some playing and practiced our sitting!
She is getting so much better at staying balanced. She can now sit upright for several minutes before tipping over and she usually tips because she can't reach her toys or her toes.
We played all day long and when Daddy got home, we decided to get the highchair from storage and give eating a try. We finally broke down and decided to start rice cereal with Hailey. Maybe this will be our miracle at getting Hailey to sleep longer than 2 hours at a time. Cereal has no nutritional value and I'm pretty sure it will do nothing to help the sleeping, but what does it hurt, right? We've felt like Hailey has been ready for sometime; She loves to watch Mommy and Daddy eat and drink.
This is a picture of Kevin and Hailey right before the big event!
Look at me.....I am SOOOOOO BIG."

We have heard that it's best to start with a bit of cereal on your finger. That was our first attempt and Hailey attacked my finger. That was our first sign that she was going to love this!
After eating her cereal, Hailey took a bath and got ready for bed. Hailey's hair is growing and she's finally starting to get some length on top. This was our first attempt at a new
hairstyle...mohawk! It is hard to see in the picture, but it was there!

After bath time Hailey was ready for a book and then off to bed....and hopefully a full night of sleep! What a busy day of firsts for Miss Hailey.

YEAH Miss Hailey! Congrats on solids - we just went out and bought some rice cereal to try out this weekend!!!
For what it's worth: Emmett has been on a night-sleep strike, too. Sigh. Mama is exhausted...
I can't imagine how you do it! There is no way I would be able to function at work. How is E?
Get ready Hailey! Grama is coming to play with you in the middle of the night so Mommy can get some much needed rest. Good job with he cereal little one.
