Sydney...4 Months Old

Wow...a third of a year old already.  Before we know it she will be one!  This had been a great month for Sydney.  She has a HUGE personality; she is full of smiles and giggles.

Sydney can roll over from her tummy to her back.  She is so close to rolling from back to front...just an arm holding her back.  She is so alert and loves to watch the world around her.  She is constantly scanning and checking things out.  She is a lover of lights just like her sister was.  If she is a bit cranky we just take her to Hailey's room and show her the Christmas lights!

Sydney loves to watch her big sister...all eyes on her, all of the time!

Sydney is spending a lot more time on her tummy.  She is reaching for objects above and beside her.  She loves to hold onto rattles and of course, put them in her mouth.  Hailey also loves giving her toys and thinks she needs one at all times.

She is still sleeping through the night....about 9-10 hours.  Occasionally she gets up between 4 and 5 for a feeding.  She is eating about every 3-4 hours.  We are getting on a better schedule and naps are starting to be more consistent.  Sydney is still swaddled at night, usually with one arm out so she can suck her hand.  I have also started swaddling her for her naps, and that is helping her sleep in her crib better.  She has gotten better about taking a bottle and will, but in small amounts.  She is very particular about the temperature.

 Such a big girl...loves to sit and hang her in jump-up.

Still no paci for Sydney, which we are okay with.  She does however have her hands in her mouth at all times.  She loves to suck on her pointer and middle finger.  She does occasionally find her thumb.  She is also teething pretty hard right now and I am expecting a new tooth in the near future.
