As I say every year, boating is one of Hailey's favorite things. She could ride all day long in the front of the boat and scream....FASTER. Sydney is no different. This year we are fighting for who gets the best spot in the front.
If they are not fighting for the front of the boat, then they are fighting to drive. Hailey is getting pretty good at turning and keeping her directions. Sydney just turns the wheel fast and likes to push on the throttle.
One of my least favorite parts about camping is having the girls ask 1,000 times a day if they can go down to the beach and swim/play in the sand. It's not so bad now that they've added shelters that create shade. Luckily this trip the temperature was in the 60's and pretty cool, so we didn't burn up down there.
We brought the water table too!
Hailey has a feather collection and she will thrilled to find a feather on the beach (center picture)
Last, but certainly not least....campfire activity. Thanks to the Cobbs, we have a new favorite night time snack, Pole Pies. They have caught on with other campers around Holter and have become pretty popular. So instead of one type of treat, they now get two....bring on the sugar. Who needs to go to sleep before 11.
Nana and Sydney roasting Pole Pies.
Love the picture of Sydney stretching her marshmallow....how interesting.
Thanks to Nana Sue and Papa Lee for a great few days at Holter. Looking forward to a few more trips this year. Also looking forward to camping with the Papp/Melby group in July.
