Hitting the Slopes

We've had a wonderful time skiing as a family so far this year and we are very thankful we still have a few more months to go.  We continue to take the long drive up to Discovery, but it's so worth it.  What a great family hill!

These photos were taken over a number of ski trips.  A few are also from out trip to Showdown with my parents, the Fink, and Belotes.

Hailey continues to cruise and skis right along with us.  No waiting for her.  She does very well on the blue runs and has even begun to ski some black diamonds.  She brags that she skis on the backside of the hill...which is big girl stuff.

Skiing has finally "clicked" for Sydney.  She started the year off using her "tails," but has since given those up. She primarily skis the easy chair, but we are working on getting her on the big mountain.  She can do it, but she insists the runs are too long.  She has learned to turn and stop and can even turn through a number of cones....we are impressed with her!
