Hailey was a trooper. She was days out of appendicitis surgery and she was hiking through the woods looking for a Christmas tree. It was a gorgeous day and we were all happy to not be sitting in the hospital or on the couch at home. We tried a new spot this year and were looking for a particular type of tree....a spruce. We hit the jackpot and found a little grove toward Lolo Peak.

Once the tree was home, it had to warm up in the house for a bit, but that didn't stop us from getting a start on the other tree upstairs. The girls love to help Dad put the tree together and then the decorating begins.

Sydney got to do the honors of putting the angel on the tree. It's a big deal and they take turns each year.
