Little Sydney's First Ski Trip

She may be little....but she loves to ski!

We enjoyed skiing with Hailey so much last year we decided to buy season tickets to Discovery for the 2013 season.  Knowing that we'd be up there a lot this year it was decided that Sydney would ski...not matter how little.  Hailey began skiing when she was 2.5 and Sydney would only be 2, but we figured we would just "make it work."

Sydney's first ski trip was to Teton Pass (outside of Choteau).  We went with Kevin's family after Christmas.  The magic carpet was awesome and the lodge was so close and not crowded that it made it super easy...plus Nana was in there if we needed a break (which really helps).

She began the day with Daddy.  Hailey was super pumped to see her little sister on skis.  She could hardly wait to ski next to her.  She took her first few runs using the hula hoop.  That worked out okay, but we really could have used a larger and stronger hoop.  Kevin then took off for the big hill with Hailey and I stayed to do some more skiing on the "bunny hill."  I tell you what...she wouldn't quit.  Every time she got to the bottom she would say, "I do it again."  She was also very adamant she, "do it myself."

Getting ready to head up for the first run...she can barely see with those big goggles on.

 Away they go!

Our big girl....ripping up the slopes!

After a break she asked to go out again.  I chose to put the harness on her and just see what happened.  It was awesome and she did awesome!  She has such amazing balance for a 2 year and is doing so much better than Hailey did her first few times up.  Again it was hard to get her off the hill...she just kept going.

All in all she took about 20 runs on the magic carpet.  She even asked to go the big hill and she did.  We all skied down together.  It pooped her out, but she did it!

We are so proud of her and can't wait to get out there again.
