Hailey's First Year of Softball

Softball was a sport that I LOVED playing as a child.  When we found out there was a softball league in Missoula, I was thrilled Hailey was old enough to play.  We got her signed up and she was excited from day 1.  She was on a team with several of her friends from Cold Springs and made some new friends from around town.  They had wonderful coaches....including Daddy.

As to be expected, she struggled a little at first.  Couldn't catch, couldn't throw well, swung the bat funny.  But, by the end, she was looking pretty good.  She enjoyed playing catcher, but most often played pitcher, 1st and short stop.  She did an excellent job of maintaining focus....the games were about 2 hrs long.

And....the cutest thing.  She was known on the team as the booty shaker.  The parents and fans in the crowd loved to watch her get up to bat.  She did this booty shaking thing to get herself into position. When she was up they'd say..."watch for it."

We are proud of how hard you worked this year Hailey.  Not only did you become an excellent softball player, you did it while in school and playing soccer.  Looking forward to next year.
