Hailey Lost her 1st Tooth

Hailey has been waiting for this day for over a year.  Her entire Kindergarten year she asked constantly, "when will I lose my teeth, everyone else is?'  Month by month, friends of hers were losing their teeth and adding to the class tooth chart, but no loose teeth for Hailey.  Then one day......

On December 16th, Hailey got off the bus and was so excited to tell everyone the news (Nana Nancy was here too!)  She walked in grinning from ear to ear.  "Do you notice anything," she said.

She told us the story of how she lost her first tooth.  And by lost it, I mean, she LOST it.  She was coming inside from her last recess at school, so it was around 2:30.  She was using her teeth/mouth to pull her glove off.  She said she thought she broke a piece off her mitten, but soon found out it was her tooth!  She looked around, but never did find it.

That night she wrote a letter to the tooth fairy explaining what happened.  She was nervous the tooth fairy wouldn't come without her tooth under her pillow.  Sure enough....she did stop by, and even left $2.

 This feels kind of funny!

Now, she's looking forward to loosing more.....and always wiggling her teeth.
